Apple Canyon Lake is a 450-acre lake, approximately 3 miles long with over 13 miles of shoreline. The lake is ranked in the top 10 for water quality and clarity the Illinois EPA.

Nestled and secluded, the lake community spreads over 2700 acres. There are over 820 existing homes within the approx 2500 subdivided lots and include New Construction.

The lake provides for a wide variety of water sports including skiing, sailing, boating, tubing, and fishing.  Fishing is one of the major attractions at Apple Canyon Lake, with 9 species stocked including: Muskie, Walleye, Bass, Crappie, Bluegill and Catfish.

Soak up the sun at Nixon Beach. A newer changing room and shower facility offers residents and guests with convenience. Swim the day away! Great picnic area.

The Campground at Apple Canyon Lake offers both improved and unimproved sites with a playground.  The campground building was renovated in 1996 with new restrooms, showers, laundry, and vending facilities.
